Grazing Gladeheart

Warning, this can get scary huge

Ben hosted the evening in Forest park last night. Marie made a delicious meal of cheese ravioli and meatballs – ans we got to the rest of the cheese fondue from Ben’s birthday last weekend.

The night consisted of a couple quick starter games, then two 5-player star games. If I remember correctly, Juice took the first star and Ben took the second.

Everyone was talking about worldwake with anticipation. I brought a couple of decks made with the few cards we got at the prerelease – but since everyone is in on a couple booster boxes, we’re all just waiting to open our new cards.

Since Juice is getting another booster box for cheap, we might be holding off on the WW draft for a week. Juice might kindly let us buy in on his cards for the draft. It all depends on how soon they come in. This is good news for me and Carin, as we’ll get to open our half of the booster box when she gets back from Mexico on Sunday.

Play of the week came from Carin this time. She was attacking with a 10/10 Trample Glazing Gladeheart against my soldier deck, right after my Conquerer’s Pledge went off.

I had 6 2/4 first-strike soldiers from my HOTP, 2 Armormasters and one Rhox Pikemaster. I only blocked with two soldiers. Carin responded with a Primal Bellow (which I had forgotten about), aising the Glazeheart to ridiculous power levels and taking me out with the trample damage.

Never forget me again

I’ll give myself an honorable mention in the name of complex plays for my Master of the Wild Hunt / wolves / Goblin Lightningcrafter / Vines of Vastwood / Kor Skyfisher / Quest for the Gemblades stack of madness. If I get time later, I’ll step the whole thing out again for everyone. Good times.

Hey, if you read this – drop me a comment. It’s good to know that someone is reading this drivel
